Central Administrator and Reception Caseworker
- Annual Salary: £29,665 Gross
- Location: East London
- Job Type: 1 year contract until March 2026 with possibility of extension to March 2027
- Hours: 35 hours per week (9:00/9:30 to 17:00/17:30)
We are proud to be working exclusively with a charity who provide specialist support services to Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic Women and Girls. They have existed for over 30 years delivering Legal and Advice, Counselling and Refuge Accommodation. Seeking a Central Administrator and Reception Caseworker to manage the main running of our head office and support our community services effectively.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Act as the general Receptionist/Fire Warden and Health and Safety lead, managing the opening and closing of the Resource Centre.
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations by all visitors and staff.
- Manage room scheduling for counselling and resource purposes and facilitate health and safety checks and repairs.
- Handle service calls and emails, providing initial assessments and referring to appropriate departments.
- Support the Director with administrative tasks, including photocopying, printing, and managing post and deliveries.
- Assist in event planning and organisation, promoting the role and importance of supporting survivors of domestic abuse.
- Engage with service users and volunteers to promote participation and develop volunteering within the organisation.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in administrative roles, preferably within a community service or charity setting.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and maintain high levels of professionalism under pressure.
- Proficient in using office software and email systems.
- Experience in handling confidential and sensitive information.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations is an advantage.
