Day-to-day of the role:
- Manage the reception area and greet patients and visitors in a warm and professional manner.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, surgeries, and meetings.
- Handle patient inquiries in person, online, and via telephone, providing helpful information and support.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to data protection regulations.
- Perform administrative duties such as filing, typing, copying, scanning, and data entry.
- Ensure the office is well-stocked with necessary supplies and all equipment is functioning properly.
- Assist with billing procedures and the processing of insurance claims.
- Coordinate with medical staff to ensure patient records are updated and accurately filed.
- Manage office correspondence and redirect as appropriate.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an office administrator, preferably within the medical industry.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare operations is advantageous.
- Proficient in MS Office and patient management software.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
