We are seeking an experienced Import Clerk to manage the receipt of containers from China, facilitate their clearance in Paris, and oversee their transportation to Germany. This role is crucial for ensuring smooth and efficient import operations and requires someone with a strong background in import logistics and customer service.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Receive and process containers arriving from China.
  • Handle all aspects of customs clearance in Paris.
  • Coordinate the transportation of cleared containers to Germany.
  • Maintain accurate records of all operations including Bills of Lading and customer information.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by keeping clients informed about the progress of their shipments.
  • Resolve any issues that arise during the import process promptly and efficiently.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Import Clerk or in a similar role within the logistics sector.
  • Familiarity with CI Customers and handling Bills of Lading.
  • Strong understanding of import regulations and procedures.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to keep clients updated and satisfied.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficient in relevant software and databases used in the logistics industry.
