Support Worker
A dedicated school for children aged 7-19 years, based in Horsham, who have special educational challenges, are looking for a compassionate and enthusiastic Support Worker, within a residential children's home, to join their team of highly experienced professionals.

Responsibilities of a Support Worker:
- Ensuring a fair, compassionate, consistent, and well ordered environment is maintained and enouraged.
- Supervising children and young people before and after the school day and for activities.
- Liaising with other staff, parents, and carers as necessary and maintaining high levels of professionalism.
- To maintain a log of all accidents, incidents or physical intervention and to challenge suspected inappropriate practice according to policies and procedures.
- Expected to promote and participate in care planning, developing risk assessments, behaviour management and to attend regular team meetings.
Requirements of a Senior Support Worker:
- To be innovative, creative and flexible, and has an open mind and a willingness to learn.
- Able to demonstrate empathy, sensitivity, self-awareness and acceptance of others.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- To act as a positive role model at all times.
- Attend training on a regular basis to ensure that all mandatory and personal training and development needs are met in line with company requirements.
Preffered Experience and Qualifications:
- Worked in a support enviroment for at least 1 year.
- NVQ Level 2 Health & Social Care
Can provide training and support through completing a Level 3 Diploma.
Enhanced DBS needed.
