About the role

Are you Interested in shaping the economic future of one of the fastest growing towns in the Midlands? We are looking to recruit an exceptional and dynamic team of economic development professionals to assist with our growth and regeneration agenda.

You will be working as part of a dedicated team to engage and work in partnership with a range of organisations to ensure that we have the best possible business support and inward investment offer, complimented by a skills infrastructure to nurture and develop our businesses and their workforce. We want to attract high quality jobs to Rugby ensuring that our residents have the skills to take advantage of these opportunities.

In this role you'll be leading the economic development function, delivering Corporate Plan priorities including supporting the Rugby town centre economy in relation to the regeneration of Rugby Town Centre and leading on the delivery and implementation of our newly adopted economic strategy.

To achieve this, you'll work with a range of partners to develop a strategic approach to economic development, establishing and building effective relationships with key economic partners and identifying and bidding for external funding to deliver objectives.

About you

To be successful in this role you'll need experience working in Economic Development or a related field delivering government funded economic development and regenerations projects and programmes. You'll need experience at management level in a Local Authority setting and be able to demonstrate having developed a successful inward investment offer and place-making narratives.
