About the Role:
We are seeking a talented Electrical Design & Application Engineer to join our fast-paced team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design systems and heat-sealing components, adhering to Machinery Directives and UKCA & CE compliance.
- Produce concept designs, cost estimates, technical drawings, and PDFs for production.
- Develop pneumatic designs for machines and modules, and prepare part costings and bills of materials.
- Provide technical assistance to workshop staff and support customers with expertise.
- Solve problems, promote product development, and develop/test new technologies.
- Set up, test, and perform customer FATs, and assist with on-site installations and commissioning.
Our Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for a motivated and skilled engineer with a solid background in Electrical Engineering. The successful candidate will also have:
- BTEC / HNC / Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
- Minimum 4 years' experience in Automation and Mechanical Engineering, preferably in packaging
- Proficiency with 2D and 3D CAD packages
- Experience in electrical schematic design and pneumatic systems
- Understanding of machining processes and specifying tolerances
- Strong communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
- Willingness to learn and develop
