You will be joining a reputable and established engineering company based in Dudley. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced administrator, with excellent customer service skills, ideally with engineering sector experience, to join a busy and supportive team.
Your new role
This is a full-time role working in the office, where you will provide support for the management team by assisting with the day-to-day operations of the department. This includes placing orders, dealing with customer requests, and supporting the engineering team with the processing of projects to scheduled completion.
Core responsibilities are:
- Managing incoming calls/emails to the department
- Providing high levels of customer service and communication at all times
- Customer liaising (external and group)
- Customer acknowledgement of enquiries
- Managing customer expectations to high standards
- WIP review/management
- Maintaining real-time WIP data and entry and job packs
- Monitoring of quote performance
- Parts procurement and ordering
- Entering quotes onto the system
- Booking in and out of jobs
- General administrative support to the wider business
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience in an administrative role, ideally, in the engineering sector
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to be flexible and adaptable - confident working with a reactive and fast-paced business
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in Microsoft packages (Word, Outlook, Excel) and ideally ordering systems
- Great team working skills as well as confidence to work independently
