Records Management Lead

An international law firm has an opportunity for a records management specialist with supervisory experience to join their team and be based out of an office in Liverpool. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of a Records Management service for physical files across the firms multiple UK locations and will have supervisory responsibility for a small team.

In this Records Management Lead role, the primary responsibilities and objectives include, but are not limited to:

  • The management of a small team of Records Management Assistants operating across multiple locations
  • Undertaking and supporting on the delivery of a records management service
  • Managing records and archiving related projects
  • Mentoring and development of Records Management Assistants
  • Managing relationships with suppliers, in particular firms providing archiving services
  • Occasional travel and delegation of travel responsibilities to other UK based offices
  • Providing a point of escalation for records management enquiries

To be a suitable candidate for this Records Management Lead role, the following experience and skills are required:

  • Previous experience in records management role or a senior administrative role in a legal or professional services setting
  • The ability to manage, supervise and mentor a small team
  • Strong relationship building and stakeholder management skills
  • A logical and proactive approach to identifying, addressing and resolving problems
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple or conflicting priorities
  • The ability to travel to other UK offices from time to time
  • Experience in an environment where files are assets and/or working with stock control systems would be particularly beneficial
