Trainee painter and decorator

As a newly qualified painter and decorator at one of London's prestige firms, you will play a key role in transforming residential and commercial spaces. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has recently completed their training and is looking to start their career in the painting and decorating industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare surfaces for painting by washing walls, repairing holes, or removing old paint.
  • Apply paint, wallpaper, and other finishes to surfaces using brushes, rollers, or sprayers.
  • Measure, cut, and apply wallpaper or fabric to walls.
  • Ensure the work area is clean and organized.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations.
  • Work with clients to select colours and finishes.
  • Provide excellent customer service, ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good condition.

Qualifications:

  • Recently completed a painting and decorating apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
  • Knowledge of various painting techniques and materials.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to work in various environments.
  • A valid driver's license may be required.

Job Type: Full-time

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Experience:

  • painting: 1 year (preferred), but not essential

Licence/Certification:

  • CSCS (preferred)
  • Driving Licence (preferred)
