Profile

The Repairs and Investment department within the Housing and Safer Communities directorate is undergoing a major transformation program aimed at enhancing the resident's end-to-end experience.

This involves updating our policies, procedures, processes, and systems to enable our colleagues to deliver an exceptional resident-focused service.

We are seeking an experienced Trainer to collaborate with our subject matter experts, digital teams, project teams, and ICT colleagues. This role supports the improvement program and focuses on upskilling colleagues within our department.

Reporting to the Training Manager, the post holder will be responsible for training and developing the community and workforce, as well as creating supporting training materials.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is passionate about leveraging technology to drive improvements and understands various learning styles, techniques, and delivery methods to enhance colleagues' skillsets.

Purpose of job

To be responsible to the Training Manager for:

1. Providing all aspects of training that are required to support ongoing projects and transformation work within the Repairs and Investment department

a. Working with the Compliance Project Team and key stakeholders to implement new Compliance Software solutions for the Repairs and Investment department.

b. Working across multiple multi-disciplinary project teams in the R&I transformation programme to create and deliver/co-deliver guidance, materials and training for staff which aim to embed new processes, drive new behaviours and deliver change that is sustainable.

c. Working with Housing IT colleagues and operational teams to help deliver training for system improvements and upgrades.

Essential

  • Professional qualification or substantial experience of, training, communication and engagement.
  • Knowledge and understanding of core engagement tools to support training delivery.
  • Understanding of different learning styles and training needs, plus the ability to tailor training courses and materials to these needs.

Desirable

  • Demonstrable knowledge of the use and implementation of housing and repairs systems. For example: NEC Housing and GoMobile, DRS scheduling system, Power BI, Propeller and Teams Enterprise Asbestos Register

Experience and knowledge of Building and Safety Compliance processes and legislation.
