Our local authority client based in Barnsley are urgently seeking an experienced Warehouse Assistant.
*£12.67 PAYE*
The Role
- To assist in the efficient, effective delivery of a comprehensive stores service.
- To pick materials from stock via electronic requests, ensuring accuracy
- To carry out all processes associated with the ordering, storage, stock checking and distribution of materials, plant and equipment
Experience and Skills
- Evidence of working in a store or warehouse environment
- Experience of working with software applications including Microsoft Office
- Demonstrate a positive, flexible approach to team working
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Ability to organise own workload and effectively prioritise tasks
- Knowledge of Health and Safety and manual Handling
- Willingness to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the service

The core hours are Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm
This role is for 5 months PPE must be worn, all PPE will be provided
