Our client, a leading organisation in East Grinstead, is seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join their team. This is a temporary to permanent position, offering excellent potential for long-term growth and development.

As a Laboratory Technician, you will play a crucial role in the production process, ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency. You will be responsible for the preparation of antimicrobial solutions, including weighing, dissolution, and dilution, as well as the manufacture of ancillary solutions such as ID media and buffers. Compliance checks of laboratory equipment and instrumentation, maintaining raw material stock levels, and supporting the laboratory by washing and autoclaving equipment will also be part of your duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of antimicrobial solutions following relevant SOPs
  • Setting up and monitoring production dispensing pumps
  • Manufacturing ancillary solutions
  • Checking laboratory equipment and instrumentation for compliance
  • Maintaining raw material stock levels
  • Supporting the laboratory with equipment washing and autoclaving

Requirements for role

  • Previous experience as a laboratory assistant or laboratory technician, or educated in microbiology at univeristy level.
  • Flexibility in working hours is essential, as you will be working 38 hours between 7am-5pm, following a rotating schedule including one in three weekends.
