Project Manager Officer (PMO)
- Salary Range: £40,500 - £45,500
- Location: Cambridge
- Working hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday), hybrid working.
- Job Type: 6-month contract
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Management Officer to join a prestigious institution in Cambridge. The role supports a new Initiative which is a unique and growing global platform for boards in collaboration with the World Economic Forum.
Day to Day of the role:
- Maintain a detailed overview of the status of the Initiative grant-funded projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Work across the team to provide visibility and understanding of the status of programmes of work and related expenditure to the Director and Leadership Team.
- Prepare regular status reports for the Leadership Team and periodic reports to the Initiative's funders.
- Liaise with workstream leads to maintain an understanding of the aim and status of each of the grant-funded programmes.
- Provide recommendations for programmes deviating from agreed budgets and track metrics and KPIs for reporting purposes.
- Support the Director and Head of Operations in the running of the Centre.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
- A project or programme management qualification is desirable.
- Experience in project management and operations.
- PMO experience responsible for complex projects in a busy environment.
- Ability to work with multiple projects simultaneously and with programme management software to monitor project progress.
- Strong project management, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- Awareness of budgeting and resource allocation principles.
- Excellent written communication skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Understanding or interest in the international climate change agenda and corporate climate action is desirable.
