Job Title: Breakfast & After School Club Playworker

Location: Fairfields Primary, Council Road, Basingstoke, Hampshire RG21 3DH

Hours: 20.8 hours per week during term time (with the opportunity to work up to 40 hrs per week during our holiday clubs if desired)

Work Hours Available: 7.30 - 8.50 for Breakfast Club & 15.10 - 18.00 for After School Club, Monday to FridayPay: Up to 11.44 per hour

Contracts Available: Term Time only or Fixed 52 week Permanent contract *up to 40 hrs per week work available during all school holidays if desired*

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute structured and exciting activities that encourage maximum participation, such as multi-sports, games, arts and crafts, structured play, and more ensuring they are age-appropriate.
  • Follow all Health and Safety protocols and policies, including signing in and out processes.
  • Provide refreshments for the children.

  • Create an inclusive and fun atmosphere for the children in our care, from picking them up from school to safely delivering them back to their parents or caregivers.
  • Collaborate with the team to plan and execute structured and exciting activities that encourage maximum participation, such as multi-sports, games, arts and crafts, structured play, and more.
  • Ensure all activities are age and skill-appropriate while prioritizing safety, including the proper use of equipment and space.
  • Provide refreshments for the kids while maintaining our high standards of hygiene and health and safety.
  • Set up and pack away play spaces, moving furniture and play equipment as needed.
  • Follow all Health and Safety protocols and policies and keep all relevant documentation, including accident and incident forms, up to date and completed as needed.
  • Ensure proper sign-in and sign-out processes and procedures are followed for all children in our care.
  • Communicate professionally and authentically with team members, parents, children, and schools. • Conduct regular maintenance and safety checks for all equipment and kit.
  • Take the lead in championing health and safety, providing first aid where necessary.
  • Keep all information and documents related to the children in our care confidential and secure.
  • Inspire our team members and the children in our care to have fun, be active, and lead an active lifestyle.
