We are a leading manufacturer of a diverse and trusted range of concrete and clay building products used extensively within the construction sector, with instantly recognizable brands such as Thermalite blocks, London Brick, Ecostock, Cradley, Formpave and Jetfloor, Bison Precast.

Our product range comprises of clay bricks, Thermalite blocks, aggregate blocks, Red Bank chimney, roofing and flue systems, precast concrete and flooring products and Formpave permeable paving.

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team in the position of Head of Marketing Communications.

The Head of Marketing Communications will play a pivotal role in the development of Forterra's brand positioning and strategy (with responsibility for both the overarching corporate brand & for it's product brands)

The role holder, supported by their team, will be responsible for the creation of all marketing collateral, both internal & external along with the development of Forterra's digital platforms and social media.

Working in partnership with the Marketing Director, creation of brand strategy for the Forterra Group and its brands, including the relevant communications strategy & goals for each.

Development and execution of the annual marketing communications plan (& budget) which should be developed in line with the wider business goals and objectives.

Oversee the creation of all marketing collateral to support the product and channel marketing teams.

Develop the Group's online presence & build strategies to increase awareness and engagement with our target audiences via our websites and social media

Support the senior management & HR teams in the roll out of internal communications and employee engagement initiatives.

About You:

  • Have at least 5 years' experience working in marketing communications within a B2B environment (ideally within the construction industry)
  • Strong communicator with strong interpersonal skills, creative individual with excellent copywriting skills
  • Have at least 3 years' experience in a managerial role
  • Experience in development of high quality marketing content and campaigns targeting a wide variety of audiences
  • Have demonstrable experience in content creation (both on and off-line)
  • Ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Confident & outgoing personality
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and MS teams
