Education Administrator, Academy in the Arts, temp role until end of January 2025, London (Hybrid), £13.15-£14.20 per hour plus holiday accrual

Our client, a prestigious academy in the arts is seeking a full-time Programme Officer to join their team. The Programme Officer will be responsible for supporting senior managers in the planning and delivery of the programme, with an International reach, ensuring it is delivered to the highest standard and in an efficient manner. This role is expected to be until the end of January 2025.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Acting as point of contact and administrative support for trainees, students, academics and senior stakeholders
  • Develop and strengthen relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Respond to general enquiries about the programme
  • Liaising with National Offices and external companies/organisations in the production and delivery of programme materials
  • In association with Registry, maintain records for the programme, keeping files up to date
  • Maintain GDPR compliant student databases
  • Coordinate administrative processes for Partnership Schools/Colleges and trainee allocation
  • Updating and maintaining relevant pages of the Virtual Learning Environment (Moodle) including updating programme information, resources, student access, and submission processes
  • Coordinating the receipt of Tutor and Mentor Reports, working with the Module Coordinator, Programme Manager and Registry as appropriate
  • Liaising with Registry to confirm student invoice payments and coordinate the receipt of tutor invoices for the Finance Department
  • Contribute to Awards Day, Open Days and other programme or Faculty of Education specific events
  • Support Programme Committees as appropriate

Some desired experience and qualities:

  • Educated to Degree level or equivalent experience
  • Experience in administrative procedures within a busy office environment
  • Formatting of documents, working with spreadsheets
  • The ability to respond to emails, upload documents to Moodle and be able to assist with students with the logistics of their enrolments at the start of term
  • Familiarity with higher/further education context
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
  • Ability to work independently and in a team, meeting agreed targets
  • Discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Confidence in dealing with inquiries from the general public, colleagues, and students
