Reed in Colchester are delighted to be supporting our client looking for a Junior Project Manager to join their team in Colchester. This role is crucial for supporting new product development projects and ensuring the successful production of products at their Colchester plant.
Day to Day of the role:
- Provide technical and administrative support for customer-facing new product development (NPD) projects and internal development projects
- Raise, plan, and record trials and validation protocols
- Support Quality customer requests related to regulatory compliance
- Manage new raw material part numbers, supplier quotations, purchase orders, and receipt of sample materials
- Administer site Change Controls and ensure thorough documentation for audits
- Maintain technical trials matrix/project trackers with high accuracy
- Cover for annual leave within the team, including artwork processing and management of printing plate deliveries
- Support the team and business with any other duties commensurate with the role.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in a technical, administrative, or project support
- Familiarity with technical and mechanical equipment, manufacturing environments, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for customer-facing project administration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Projects) and applications like SAP, Fiori, FileHold.
- Knowledge of quality management systems.
- Ability to improve and streamline technical and administrative processes.
- Structured and organised with excellent prioritisation skills.
- A sense of pride in work, flexibility, and good time management.
- Exceptional attention to detail and administrative abilities.
- Positive attitude, self-motivation, and high numeracy and literacy skills.
- Full understanding and adherence to company safety policies and procedures.
