Finance Coordinator

Our client is a superb company based just West of Leeds, looking to recruit an experienced candidate to work within a Senior Accounts role, reporting into the MD. The Finance Coordinator will work alongside one other in the team, in which you will provide varied Finance and Accounts support, effectively maintaining accurate accounting systems to support the running of the company's finance. They need someone who has strong Purchase Ledger experience and can work independently.

Duties:

  • Managing accounts via Microsoft Business Central, including bank reconciliations, managing the purchase ledger and checking and uploading supplier payments
  • Supporting with planning, budgeting and forecasting, and maintaining daily financial transactions
  • Preparing and deliver financial statements, maintain stock records, and assist with preparing tax returns
  • Working proactively with the MD to assess cost savings within the business and put your recommendations forward
  • Create and maintain financial databases and report on monthly KPI's throughout the business
  • On an ongoing basis, you will review contracts, legal documents, insurance policies and financial transactions to ensure compliance
  • Supporting across other finance areas such as preparing budget forecasts, cash flow projections, and VAT Returns.

Skills Required for the role:

  • We are looking for experience within a similar Bookkeeping, Accounts, or Finance related role with 3 years' plus experience working with ledgers, reports, bank reconciliation and the duties outlined above
  • Strong IT skills with the ability to work with Microsoft and other Finance or Accounts software such as Sage
  • A strong communicator and flexible in approach, able to work with a wide range of tasks
  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills
