**Job Vacancy: Full-Time Primary School Teacher (ECT's Welcome)

Overview: A lovely primary school in Thornton Heath is seeking a full-time Year 3 teacher to join their dedicated and culturally enriched educational community. This role welcomes both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to begin their teaching career in a supportive and faith-based environment. The successful candidate will start in September 2024 and be part of a team committed to academic excellence and the nurturing of Greek Orthodox values.

**Primary School Teacher

Key Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum Delivery: Design and deliver engaging, inclusive lessons for Year 3 students, adhering to the National Curriculum and the school's Greek Orthodox ethos.
  • Classroom Management: Create a positive, respectful classroom environment that encourages learning and supports student well-being.
  • Student Assessment: Conduct regular assessments of student progress, providing feedback and tailoring instruction to meet individual learning needs.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community to support students' educational and spiritual development.
  • Faith Integration: Incorporate Greek Orthodox values and teachings into the curriculum, fostering a deeper understanding of faith and culture among students.
  • Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching practices and stay current with educational trends.

**Primary School Teacher

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Must hold a valid teaching qualification.
  • Experience: Open to both experienced teachers and ECTs. Previous experience in a primary school setting is beneficial.
  • Passion for Teaching: A genuine enthusiasm for teaching and a commitment to creating a positive, inclusive learning environment.
  • Cultural and Religious Sensitivity: An understanding and appreciation of Greek Orthodox culture and faith, with the ability to integrate these into teaching practices.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute positively to the school community.
