Accounts Payable Assistant

Overview:

Reporting to the Accounts Payable Lead, the Accounts Payable Assistant will have a great opportunity to work closely with the controlling team and support the day-to-day functions of the Accounts Payable Department for three entities in UK, France and Spain.

Your Mission:

  • Processing and coding 3rd party supplier invoices ensuring the accurate allocation to cost centres and budgets.
  • Allocating direct debit payments to invoices.
  • Bank statement reconciliations, contacting suppliers for missing invoices.
  • Producing supplier statement reconciliations and investigating differences.
  • Manage The shared AP Mailbox daily.
  • Assist with 2 weekly payment runs for all 3 entities.
  • Setting up new suppliers on the database.
  • Suppliers call back for change of bank details verification.
  • Ad hoc duties.

Your Talent:

  • Strong communication and team working skills.
  • Ability to problem solve and work in a logical manner.
  • Ability to be receptive of change and manage changes in working practices.
  • Accuracy, transparency and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight reporting deadlines.
  • Competent in managing high volumes of data.

Systems and Essentials:

  • Good to excellent excel and general IT skills.
  • Knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems would be beneficial.
  • English / Italian / French / Spanish language skills would be beneficial but not essential.
