**SEN Teaching Assistant

- Starting Pay Rate: £13 - £14.50 per hour

We are seeking dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join our team at a fantastic local special educational needs (SEN) school. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the teaching and learning of our students, working under the guidance of the class teacher.
**Day to Day of the Role:
- Provide specialist learning support to individuals, small groups, or children with additional needs.
- Encourage the inclusion and acceptance of all students.
- Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Liaise with specialist services, such as educational psychologists and speech therapists.
- Offer feedback to students on progress and achievement.
- Support the teacher in lesson planning, evaluating, and adjusting lessons as needed.
- Monitor and evaluate students' responses to learning activities.
- Contribute to behaviour management within the school.
- Implement agreed learning activities and teaching programmes.
- Support students in accessing learning activities through specialist support.
- Supervise students on visits, trips, and out-of-school activities as required.
**Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role within an educational or care setting.
- Confidence to support children on a 1-2-1 or small group basis.
- Ability to provide feedback and support to students and teachers.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Enhanced DBS check (we can provide this)
- Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding practices.
