Technical Sales Consultant required: Prospero Integrated have just taken on a brand-new vacancy with one of our key clients for a Technical Sales Consultant. If you are a Technical Sales Consultant within the Audio Visual industry, please read on.

Brief Overview of Role: Responsible for scoping and selling audio visual and collaborative solutions from concept to delivery, whilst maintaining a high level of technical expertise and salesmanship. Target driven and accountable.

Accountability's Include:

  • Knowledge & Key Skills
  • Sales 60%
  • Communicating with customers on a regular basis
  • Responding to RFI/RFP/Tenders
  • Presenting to existing and potential customers
  • Prospecting accounts

Sales Administration 30%

  • Preparing and revising quotations, using CRM system
  • Preparing scope of works
  • Accurate sales forecasting
  • Working alongside Project Management team to drive successful outcomes

Suppliers 10%

  • Product training
  • New product sourcing
  • Good Housekeeping
  • Adherence to Carillion processes and quality policy
  • BTO participation and project handover to delivery

Critical Success Factors

  • Achievement of revenue and profit targets
  • Optimise the profitability of each account within their customer portfolio
  • Building and enhancing effective relationships with customers at all levels, including senior management level
  • Effective management of customer needs and expectations

Essential:

  • Strong understanding of AV technologies, systems integration, and industry trends.
  • Two years audio visual experience preferred
  • Minimum two years external sales experience required
  • Proven 'track record' of achieving sales targets
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
  • Self-motivated and highly professional with the ability to lead and take ownership and responsibility
  • Ability to multitask, work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • A desire to learn and improve skills and knowledge
  • Fast learner, energetic, enthusiastic
  • Adaptable and flexible to business demands
  • Strong organisational and planning skills
  • Positive 'can-do' attitude
  • Team player
  • Effective presentation skills and the ability to influence at all levels
  • Ability to present proposals to individuals and groups in a compelling fashion

  • Good numeracy and written skills essential
  • Intermediate PC skills - Excel, Word, PowerPoint
