Financial Controller

to join their team.

As the

Financial Controller

, you will be responsible for ensuring that the finance department is fit for purpose and all everyday operational tasks are completed accurately and on time to produce all financial reports. You will be expected to fully manage the department, having a hands-on role assisting the team in its day-to-day activities and working alongside departmental heads.

Some of the key responsibilities

:

  • You will be responsible for the compilation and submission of financial reports to allow departmental managers and senior team members to understand and to measure the key business drivers.
  • You will propose changes in processes, procedures and ensuring that the team have the relevant skills to complete their tasks.
  • You will manage the preparation and submission of payroll and VAT.
  • You will liaise with external accountants for the preparation of VAT returns and payroll.
  • You will provide day to day management and mentoring of the Finance Team.

What the client is looking for

:

  • Either someone who is QBE, CIMA / ACCA full or part qualified with demonstrable experience that aligns with the role, having had at least 6 years of experience in finance
  • Able to work to deadlines.
  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to build strong effective relationships with stakeholders.
  • Be analytical with the ability to use excel.
  • Have strong technical skills and a solid grounding in finance.
  • Ability to produce consolidated accounts from a multi-currency base.
  • Experience dealing with multi-currency payment and receipts.
