Elevation Recruitment Group is seeking a talented Buyer to join our client, a rapidly growing company within a specialised industry that provides advanced containment solutions. The Buyer will support the Senior Buyer, ensuring all procurement activities align with business needs.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of raw materials and components for capital projects.
- Manage purchase requisitions for capital equipment and aftermarket, adhering to company financial procedures and ensuring output accuracy.
- Expedite outstanding purchase orders according to schedules, notifying the Senior Buyer and Project Manager of any potential delays.
- Confirm receipt and acknowledgment of purchase orders by suppliers, maintaining accurate delivery dates in the ERP system.
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure cost savings through agreements, schedules, rebates, and discounts.
- Develop proactive relationships with suppliers to meet deadlines.
- Liaise with suppliers to obtain necessary certifications for all departments.
- Follow the NCR process for non-conforming components to secure replacements or credits and work with suppliers on root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Evaluate and provide feedback on supplier performance against delivery and quality KPIs.
- Manage the stock control system to ensure value-added stock holding and correct stock levels.
- Assist the Senior Buyer in managing consignment stock contracts.
- Collaborate with Stores, Fabrication, and Assembly Teams to ensure product flow.
- Assist with stock take activities.
Benefits:
- Salary range: £30,000 to £32,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a Purchasing role within an Engineering or Manufacturing environment.
- Experience handling NCRs (non-conforming products).
- Strong understanding of stock control importance.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Strong character and confidence in dealing with stakeholders both internally and externally, in person, over the phone, and via email.
