Engagement Manager

Working among new and existing businesses and senior contacts across Liverpool City Centre?

The Role:

  • To be the first point of contact, and welcome to businesses, with an ability to facilitate good relationships across different sectors.
  • To be skilled at relationship management and understand how to support businesses through various issues and challenges
  • To develop and lead on a programme of both virtual and face-to-face business engagement visits, ensuring targeted businesses receive personal contact.
  • Liaison with city partners including police and city council to ensure resolution of issues.
  • To lead on groups and forums for businesses, representing at both internally produced and external events
  • To support the Marketing Manager and Operations Manager, and the rest of the team as necessary
  • To create and deliver an annual engagement plan, targeting businesses through supplementary activity including events and campaigns.
  • To support the marketing manager with B2B communications, including promotion of projects using channels including social media, newsletters and whatsapp.
  • To prepare appropriate reports and evaluation of activity for boards and senior management team.
  • To provide monthly analysis on business engagement, project delivery and outcomes
  • To take ownership of the CRM systems, maintaining and developing the data and managing and reviewing the contract with the external supplier
  • To project manage the administration, engagement and consultation for ballot process
  • To effectively manage and motivate direct report(s)
  • Generate income as part of the project from businesses and other partners; negotiate in-kind and financial support to contribute to the positive creation and development of project proposals.
  • Contribute to the delivery of the wider team's programme of work as directed by the CEO.
  • To assist in the promotional opportunities and ideas from conception through to delivery.
  • Develop the company's commitment to equal opportunities and to promote non-discriminatory practices in all aspects of work undertaken.
  • Prepare baseline service documents, give advice on company contracts, procurement procedures and contribute to the development of SLA's for additional service

The Candidate:

  • Proven ability to develop close relationships with senior business leaders
  • Able to use CRM systems to inform account management strategy
  • Experience of presenting pitches to win business
  • Experience of setting up and attending events and business seminars
  • Creativity to organise community activities to engage local businesses
