The Business

Harmonic is currently working with a renowned global Games Developer and Publisher in their search for a Finance Business Partner to join their Commercial Finance team and support their network of Gaming studios.

With an impressive growth trajectory achieved organically and through M&A activity, the business is a major player within the Gaming space with multiple studios throughout Europe. With an ever-growing portfolio of chart-topping titles, their games attract tens of millions of users across multiple platforms on a daily basis.

Based out of their creative and vibrant Central London office, this role offers flexibility to work from home for two days a week and regular team social activities.

With budget season approaching and plans for continued international expansion, they are looking for a skilled business partner to elevate the contribution of FP&A to their portfolio of gaming studios including the development budgets and acting as the first point-of-contact for non-finance stakeholders across their network.

The Role

As the Finance Business Partner, you will be responsible for creating studio budgets to deliver to non-finance Studio Directors. Developing the studios' financial perspective, you must be a clear communicator with experience liaising with senior executives and feel confident to challenge conservative budgets. You shall also have excellent FP&A skills to analyse performance, variance, and create strong commentaries to deliver across the network.

The Duties

  • Business Partnering with Studio Directors/Managers to support their commercial needs and aid in decision-making.
  • Providing insights and commentary for monthly trade reports to senior leaders.
  • Leading monthly performance reviews with key studio stakeholders.
  • Reviewing and validating forecast assumptions, analysing budget and forecast variances.
  • Managing budgeting and forecasting for dedicated studios, working with business partners and the finance team.
  • Assisting Studio Directors in strategic planning and developing metrics for new games.
  • Driving process improvements to support scalable growth.
  • Identifying and monitoring risks, opportunities, and efficiencies.
  • Enhancing systems, processes, and activities in collaboration with Group FP&A and the Finance Team.
  • Occasional travel to studios may be required.

  • 3-5+ years Finance Business Partnering experience
  • Experience building annual budgets from scratch
  • Analytical mindset
  • Fantastic senior stakeholder management
  • Pro-active and confident

What we'd like to see (beneficial):

  • Qualified accountant
  • Experience in Gaming/Tech/Media sector
