Accounts Receivable Manager

Our client, a leading company, is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Manager to join their team. As the Accounts Receivable Manager, you will be responsible for managing and delivering a strong, efficient, and effective Accounts Receivable function. You will ensure that all receivables processing is administered in line with internal and external regulations and governance. The role also involves driving efficiency improvements, increasing automation, and ensuring income is collected on time. Strong communication and engagement skills are essential to develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders and managing a team of 3-4 people reporting into Head of Operational Finance

Hybrid 2/3 days in the office

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage receivables processing in accordance with agreed service levels for all income sources.
  • Keep customers informed and up to date with payments, striving to ensure positive customer engagement.
  • Ensure accurate operation of debtors control accounts and sales ledger, and timely settlement of invoices.
  • Implement effective checks to ensure correct income is received.
  • Ensure correct coding is in place for reliable accounting information.
  • Complete employee income processing and auditing on time and in line with policies.
  • Resolve problems and issues within agreed service levels.
  • Develop and maintain insightful management reporting on key performance indicators.

Job Requirements:

  • Significant experience in similar Accounts Receivable leadership roles.
  • Background in Charity (Desirable)
  • Proven experience of processing high volume transactions.
  • Knowledge of accounting and VAT principles.
  • Experience in driving improvements within an Accounts Receivable function.
  • Track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Experience with Oracle Fusion or similar financial systems.
