Building Services Contract Manager

We are pleased to bring you a new Building Services Contract Manager role working for an In House Estates team within the Public Sector.

This Client Side Building Services Contract Manager role has a focus on managing and improving hard services contracts for the organisation and within this role, you will be based in central London. You will be part of the senior leadership team within the estates department and report to the deputy director of estates.

In addition to a salary of c£55,000 you will also receive.

Within this Building Services Contract Manager role you will be client side, working for the public sector institution, and be responsible for the management of all service providers to the organisation within Hard FM. You will also be responsible for compliance related contracts and specifically service delivery performance. You will have budget responsibility for long term maintenance and also play an important role in the organisations de-carbonisation projects.

This is a varied Contract Managers role within building services and would suit someone who has worked in a similar role previously. Some of the duties will include:

  • Reviewing and drafting contracts including Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning, lifts, water hygiene, electrical and gas services, pressurised systems, emergency lighting, BMS, fire alarms and access control
  • Negotiating terms and Procurement of contracts
  • Developing Business Intelligence (BI) Dashboard performance analysis of contract and inhouse performance
  • Ensuring compliance within contract terms
  • Conducting inspections and audits
  • To Identify and address potential risks
  • Financial Management, to include Cost estimation and driving value for money
  • To develop and implement decarbonisation plans to meet net zero

Requirements

For this Contract Manager role within Building Services we are looking for:

  • Extensive knowledge and experience of contract / service delivery management, involving performance management to Key Performance Indicators within an Estates / FM environment.
  • Experience of budget management
  • Experience of developing processes to deliver improved service from contractors
  • Knowledge of in the procurement of public sector contracts.
  • Experience of designing and managing project and report writing and analysis
  • Degree educated is preferable
  • CIPFA – Chartered Institute of Public Finance & Accountancy, Contract Management (this is desirable, though not essential)
