Location:

Bristol/Reading/Bournemouth/Plymouth

Hybrid:

Predominantly Homebased - Travelling to various sites in the South West as per business needs.

JGA are partnered with British transport company, who are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner, with trade union experience.

Purpose of the role is to work at both an operational and strategic level within the business, leading the design and delivery of the people plan, ensuring full alignment to the short, medium, and long-term business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support relevant leadership teams.
  • Advise on people management, absence management, sickness and performance management.
  • Facilitating and maintaining strong relationships with employee groups and trade unions.
  • Maintaining effective people management systems.
  • Leading and managing HR projects.
  • Conducting regular reviews and updates on HR policies, procedures for continuous improvement.
  • Design and delivery of effective engagement and communications plans.

Skills required:

  • CIPD qualified.
  • Experience in a similar position as a HR Business Partner.
  • Previous experience in a complex and unionised environment.
  • Experience in dispute resolution.
  • Excellent knowledge of employment law.
  • Experience in leadership and management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
