Key Responsibilities as a Technical Operations Manager
- Identifying opportunities to improve the infrastructure of the business and recommending new approaches.
- Reviewing existing IT protocols and processes to consistently improve ways of working.
- Leading the delivery of pivotal technical projects including a large-scale cloud migration.
- Managing a small team of technical specialists, acting as a point of escalation for complex IT requests.
- Monitoring infrastructure systems including hardware and software to ensure smooth and secure performance.
- Diagnosing and resolving system issues as they arise including upgrading of outdated components.
- Building bespoke solutions focused on secure use.
Core Experience and Skills
- Strong experience as an Infrastructure or Systems Manager.
- Experience with Linux and multi-cloud is essential.
- Strong knowledge of databases, networks and patch management.
- Proven track record delivering cloud migrations including risk mitigation.
- Experience motivating a small technical team.
- Experience in the Employee Benefits or Rewards space would be desirable but not essential.
