The Role
The Finance Manager position offers a broad and dynamic remit, providing exposure across all areas of finance. The role will be closely supported by an experienced Finance Director, who will play an active and hands-on role during the first 6 to 12 months to ensure a thorough and well-structured induction. As the Finance Manager becomes fully embedded within the organisation and confident in their remit, the Finance Director will transition to a more strategic and commercially focused role, working closely with the Board on high-level priorities, creating an excellent development pathway for the successful candidate.
The key components of the role will include:
- Support the SLT to aid decision making and direction through financial analysis
- Hiring, training and development of a small but highly performing finance team
- Production and presentation of management accounts
- Assisting with statutory accounts & returns
- Annual audit preparation including liaising with external Auditors
- Budgeting, forecasting and cashflow analysis
- Maintaining & reconciliations of balance sheet, fixed assets and ledgers
- Assisting with VAT & taxation returns
- Overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control & payroll
- Reviewing and developing processes, procedures, controls & systems

Candidate Profile
We are keen to engage with candidates that can demonstrate a strong blend of both management and financial accounting. Supervisory or people management experience is also essential.
