Procurement Assistant, High Wycombe:

The key responsibilities of the Procurement Assistant are:

  • To work with the Supply Chain team to source and purchase materials both locally and from overseas whilst considering stock levels, lead times, budget values and storage space.
  • Source and purchase goods and services required including negotiation of terms.
  • Creating purchase orders ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policy.
  • Maintain positive relationships with suppliers using effective communication and resolve any issues in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with suppliers to ensure deliveries are on-time and quality standards are met.
  • Analyse procurement data to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare reports and presentations based on the analysed procurement data.
  • Identify and suggest process improvements to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
  • Participate in meetings and provide updates on procurement activities.
  • Use SAGE MRP system on a daily basis.

Profile

  • Very strong attention to detail with a numerate ability to analyse and interpret data.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and internal team.
  • Have a driven for success and results.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Be proficient with SAGE or an equivalent procurement software system.
  • Excellent systems skills including advanced Excel

Job Offer

Salary of circa £26,000 - £32,000 plus excellent package
