Fletchers Solicitors Ltd have a fantastic opportunity to join our growing Team.

Due to the growth of the business, we have a new opportunity for a HR Co-ordinator to join our friendly and growing people team. As a HR Coordinator, you will assist the Head of People Operations in providing a proactive, professional, and comprehensive HR service. The role will combine general administrative duties with project work and advising managers on internal policies and processes aimed at continuously improving the team's service delivery to its internal customers.

We are looking for a person who may have previous generalist HR experience and a basic understanding of HR practices and employment law. If you have good communication and Microsoft office skills with the ability to work to deadlines, have excellent attention to detail and time management this could be the role for you!

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide a speedy and efficient service to the Head of People Operations in response to all HR queries and administrative tasks on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
  • Maintain system information including disciplinary, grievance, flexible working, long term sick, recruitment, absence, internal relocations, leaver.
  • Assisting with the monthly payroll process
  • Taking part in delivering the induction programme to all new colleagues
  • Maintenance and management of employee and general files
  • Creating and distributing all relevant HR correspondence following requests from the Head of People Operations
  • Ownership of onboarding and creating personal files for all New Starters and ensure all documentation is present to include pre-employment checks, completed and filed in line with policy.
  • Taking and compiling notes in HR meetings - Probation meetings, performance management, absence management, flexible working, maternity, disciplinary, grievance, appeal etc
  • Responding to reference requests
  • Maintaining a professional approach to all HR matters disclosed, informing the Head of People Operations in a timely manner
  • Any ad hoc duties as requested by the People Business Partners, Head of People Operations and Director of People
  • Provide and maintain on a regular basis records including HR MI & stats for weekly/monthly board reports
  • To undertake and support ad hock project work as and when required
  • Ownership of the leaver's process from start to finish including completing references
  • Rewards and benefits administration and project work
  • Occupational health/GP report referrals as and when required
  • Assist the wider team with Recruitment and Learning and Development duties when required
  • Any other duties commensurate with the role

?Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Previous generalist HR Experience within a HR environment
  • Basic understanding of HR practices and employment law
  • CIPD qualification (or equivalent) or working towards
