A lovely SEN school for ASD students in the London Borough of Merton are seeking an experienced candidate to join the team as an Assistant Headteacher. The successful candidate will be joining a team that is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. The ideal Assistant Headteacher the school is seeking will have to show evidence of the ability to successfully manage and support pupils with SEMH.
The Assistant Headteacher will work alongside the Head of School to lead a successful education team, providing vision, leadership and direction for the continuing development and improvement of the school. You will need the ability to monitor and review through self-evaluation, report writing and a clear system of record keeping, you will also need the ability to lead flexibly, innovatively and responsively in a challenging environment.
The role is to begin on a temporary basis and the school will be offering a permanent position after a term of working with them.
