Nigel Wright are delighted to be working partnership with a global food manufacturing business, located in North Yorkshire.
The role
Reporting into the Plant Manager and European Head of Quality, you will sit on the Senior Leadership Team.
You will manage a small team and have full responsibility for managing food safety and quality from ingredients, through to customer delivery and will have final say on all quality on site, ensuring the site adhere's to UK, Group and European standards.
The site has and will continue, to receive investment and there is a clear desire for the Quality Manager to drive forward new certifications and ISO Standards into the business.
This is a challenging role, as the site produces several hundred SKUS with complexity around mix of ingredients, given a heavily customer driven manufacturing environment/plan.
The person
- You will have a relevant food/science degree
- Have 5+ years experience with a quality management remit
- Recent experience of working within a food/drink or food related manufacturing environment
- Experience of managing internal and external stakeholders (production, customer audits, etc)
- Project management (quality related) experience would be a distinct advantage
- Strong quality management systems experience
