IT Service Desk Manager - Fareham - £35,000 - £40,000

An opportunity for an IT Service Desk Manager to join a leading healthcare organisation in Fareham, Hampshire.

You will act as the primary point of contact for a service desk consisting of 5 service desk analysts, and together ensure IT services run smoothly for users across the organisation. You will work closely with the IT Director and take on responsibilities across IT operations, people management and business continuity.

Some of the key responsibilities will include:

  • Handling escalations and ensuring end-users are receiving the support they require
  • Management, coaching and guidance to the service desk
  • Assessing urgency, prioritising and assigning tickets
  • Monitoring and reporting on service levels
  • Own IT joiner / leaver processes and IT policies
  • Work with 3rd parties, technical vendors, outsourcers etc.

Does this sound like you?

  • Previous experience in an IT Service Desk Manager / IT Services Manager role, or strong 2nd/3rd line experience and looking to take the step up to a manager role
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 and tools such as Intune
  • Experience managing problems in a helpdesk ticketing system / ITSM
  • Excellent customer service and stakeholder management skills
  • Happy to be based out of the office in Fareham
  • A driving license as some occasional travel may be required
