An exciting opportunity has arisen for a detail-oriented FP&A Business Analyst to join a dynamic commercial finance team within an industry leading Multinational Media Company based in the heart of Manchester City Centre. This role is perfect for those with a passion for finance and insightful reporting. The successful candidate will be part of the central audio reporting team, assisting with monthly forecasting and cost analysis.

As an FP&A Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in shaping financial strategies through your detailed analysis and insightful reporting. You will take ownership of cost reporting across various areas, prepare monthly forecasts and annual budgets, and manage review processes at month end. Your ability to provide fast, informed appraisals will be crucial in supporting decision-making processes. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with key stakeholders within the business, providing valuable insights into monthly revenues and costs.

  • Own the reporting of costs across several areas including premises, broadcast & digital distribution, technology & engineering.
  • Business partner with key stakeholders within the business to analyse & understand monthly revenues & costs.
  • Prepare monthly forecasts and annual budgets for these areas.
  • Manage review processes for accruals & prepayments at month end.
  • Input into the preparation of month-end reporting to key UK stakeholders.
  • Provide fast, informed, and independent appraisals to management for projects to be undertaken by the business.
  • Proactively own the process for reporting to external bodies such as Ofcom, and the music royalty bodies.

What you bring

The ideal FP&A Business Analyst will bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise in financial analysis. You are a newly qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA) with strong numerical skills. Your proficiency in Excel and other business analysis tools enables you to produce accurate and insightful analyses. Your excellent teamwork skills allow you to support your colleagues effectively while your confidence in your interpersonal abilities ensures clear communication of key updates. Experience with SAP & SAP Analytics Cloud would be advantageous.

  • Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA)
  • Financially numerate with strong Excel skills and other business analysis tools.
  • Ability to manage a busy workload in a time-pressured environment.
  • Great team working skills, and the ability to support others in the team as needed.
  • Confidence in interpersonal skills and ability to communicate key updates on a timely basis.
  • Systems experience with SAP & SAP Analytics Cloud is favourable but not mandatory.
