Job Title: Marketing Manager (Maternity Cover - 12 Months Fixed)

Location: 44 - 54 Stewarts Road, London SW8 4DF

Salary: TBC basis on experience/agreed work schedule

Job Type: Temporary contract, either full-time or part-time (3 days a week minimum)

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, from 9.30-5.30 (40mins unpaid break)

Start Date: October 2024

We are a producer and distributor of speciality foods, working with artisan food producers across the globe. Every day, we supply a nationwide network of customers from the smallest farm shops to restaurants and food manufacturers. Our remarkable range includes the largest collection of British farmhouse cheeses, Mediterranean deli products from Dell'ami, a huge range of British cured meats, as well as our own bespoke sauces and dips.

Position Overview:

As the Marketing Manager, you will play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing our brand presence across both B2B and B2C markets. You will oversee all marketing activities, ensuring that our messaging is consistent, engaging, and aligned with our business objectives. This role requires a blend of creativity, strategic thinking, and hands-on execution. On occasions, you are expected to attend events which may be outside the working hours and some travelling is required. You will lead the Marketing Executive in managing our marketing efforts across multiple media platforms and channels.

Key Responsibilities:

B2B Marketing:

  • Website Management: Regularly update and maintain the company website, including homepage content, product listings, and digital brochures.
  • Packaging & Branding: Manage packaging amendments, including updating labels, designing new ones, and maintaining branding consistency across our own products such.
  • Brochure Updates: Revise and update brochures, ensuring they reflect the latest product information and branding.
  • Print Management: Organize the printing of brochures, flyers, and other marketing materials as needed.
  • Ad-Hoc Marketing Collateral: Create flyers, PDFs, and company documents for specific sales requirements, including price increases and sustainability initiatives.
  • Product Launches: Coordinate new product launches, including photography, brochure creation, and copywriting in collaboration with external partners.
  • Supplier Relationships: Maintain and enhance relationships with key suppliers, arranging events/masterclasses, and ensuring annual marketing plans are executed.
  • Event Management: Oversee the successful execution of larger-scale company events and masterclasses, such as Meet the Makers or Academy of Cheese.
  • Advertising: Design and create artwork for magazine advertisements and other promotional materials.
  • Product Information Management: Update and create product info sheets, customer menu cards, and online recipes. Including photography and copywriting for new products.
  • Visual Branding: Oversee the creation of visual branding elements, including pop-ups, signage, van branding, business cards and more.
  • Product Distribution: Organize the monthly distribution of new product samples to the sales team.

B2C Marketing:

  • Newsletter Management: Create and send newsletters to B2C customers, offering discounts and promoting products.
  • Online Ordering Platforms: Maintain online ordering platforms (H&B and Etsy), including adding new products, and pricing, and writing website code for product descriptions.
  • Retention Planning: Develop ideas for special events and promotions for online order sales, such as hampers.
  • Imagery & Product Presentation: Capture and manage imagery for the B2C website and other online platforms.
  • Influencer Outreach: Send products to bloggers and influencers to generate reviews and social media posts.
  • Digital Marketing Coordination: Liaise with our digital marketing partner, providing necessary information and support to enhance website performance, including SEO-related tasks.

About you:

Knowledge/Skills/Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a marketing role, preferably within a B2B and B2C food environment
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Experience with the website, social media, and content management,
  • Creative flair with a strong eye for design and detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of digital marketing practices and tools
