Job Overview

Are you currently an Equipment and Facilities Engineer looking for a fantastic opportunity to move in to a new role which offers real potential for growth and development? If so, this could be the role for you as it will provide the opportunity to drive and shape the engineering function.

To be considered for this role, you will ideally have proven experience working within a similar role within an engineering environment, preferably with experience in Facilities, Manufacturing and Laboratory equipment. You will also be motivated, resilient and have a real interest in continuous personal development.

Reporting directly to the Head of Engineering, Facilities and EHS, you will utilise your technical expertise to shape, develop and maintain effective systems and processes, supporting continued compliance of our operations within a regulated environment.

What will you be responsible for?

  • Lead and execute on delivering effective engineering services to maintain compliance, enhance equipment and facility performance to all meet regulatory standards across all areas in a safe manner.
  • Manage and execute building shutdowns, system upgrades and leading on relevant projects.
  • Be able to work with and engage in the Quality Management System processes and be compliant with regulatory standards on a consistent basis, making improvements along the way.
  • Prepare, issue and control SOP's, protocols, certification and reports.
  • Mentor and develop the skills of the Maintenance Technician(s) to enhance their skills to allow yourself to work at a high level.

What are we looking for?

Essential

  • Degree Qualified in an area related to an Engineering discipline.
  • Experience gained within a GMP environment (or closely related regulatory environment) from an equipment, facilities, and engineering perspective.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of BMS, EMS & HVAC systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with excellent technical writing abilities.
  • Ability and a proven history in using your initiative, driving projects through to completion on your own with minimal guidance.
  • Must display personal accountability for results and integrity.
  • Able to demonstrate problem solving, decision making and influencing skills.
  • Displays critical thinking when faced with a challenge by asking probing questions and looking for connections.
  • Right to work in the UK.
