Cambridge (hybrid - one day home working per week)

£28,000-£32,000 per annum

We are looking for a Finance Projects Administrator to join our client's busy Project Finance Team. This role is integral to the reporting on our projects and requires a candidate who can navigate a complex finance environment with precision and a correct-first-time work ethic. The successful candidate will be adept at communication within a culturally diverse community and will support the finance department with the administration of project cost claims and queries.

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Act as the first point of contact for all project-related queries, coordinating through to resolution.
  • Coordinate project submissions and cost claims with international partners.
  • Manage project reporting for assigned projects and provide support to the Project Reporting System.
  • Understand and apply EC project rules relevant to the projects.
  • Validate expense claims from project partners and coordinate the approval of our own project cost claims.
  • Track and validate evidence for project travel claims and prepare audit files.
  • Offer administrative support during project audits and ensure accurate data entry into EC project portals.
  • Coordinate project reporting via the project intranet and support the Finance Team with general finance administration.
  • Provide holiday cover for the financial reporting admin team and manage finance post, filing, scanning, and archiving of finance documents.
  • Administer the general purchase ledger email inbox and offer first-line support to supplier queries.
  • Undertake other duties as may reasonably be required.

Working Arrangements:

  • Flexible-hybrid model with weekly office visits required.
  • Office presence majority of the time with some flexibility available.
  • Business travel may be required occasionally.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in MS Office: Strong skills with Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong customer focus with meticulous attention to detail.
