As a Senior Staff Nurse in our client's Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), you will:
- Assume responsibility for the unit in the absence of the Sister/Charge Nurse.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate holistic care plans for children in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Act as a role model and mentor for junior and student nurses, using your interpersonal skills to foster long-term relationships with children and their families.
Requirements:
- NMC Child Registered Nurse (RN Child / RSCN) with immediate paediatric life support certification.
- Post-graduate experience in a PICU setting.
- Understanding of safeguarding issues.
- Teaching and mentoring experience (desirable).
- Completion of a PICU course equivalent to 60 credits.
- Strong clinical governance skills and experience with audits.
- Experience in supervising and assessing students and leading shifts (desirable).
