Hays are delighted to partner with this professional services organisation based in Birmingham City Centre who are looking for a Financial Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis.
Your new role
As the Financial Accountant, you will work with the Accounting team, assisting with the preparation of financial accounts for both month-end reporting and the year-end audit.
Some of the key responsibilities include:
- Maintain key accounting records, including:
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Accruals and prepayments
- Preparation of month-end reports
- Liaise with external auditors to assist with any audit queries
- Provide management insight including reporting commentary, management presentations & financial analysis
What you'll need to succeed
- Be an ACA or ACCA Qualified Accountant, ideally from an audit background.
- This is a perfect opportunity for someone looking to make their first move out of practice into Industry, but equally, someone with prior Financial Accounting/Reporting experience could be suitable.
- Have strong financial reporting and accounting experience
- Be advanced on Excel
- Have excellent stakeholder management experience
