Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team in September 2024.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with special educational needs, both in the classroom and in the Integrated Resource.
  • Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering tailored learning activities.
  • Implement and monitor Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students.
  • Support students in developing social skills, self-confidence, and independence.
  • Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students.
  • Maintain accurate records of students' progress and achievements.
  • Attend relevant training and professional development sessions.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience working with children with special educational needs is highly desirable.
  • A patient, empathetic, and understanding approach.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or special educational needs are advantageous.
