Finance Assistant

Seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Finance Administrator to join the team of a info tech company. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of finance-related tasks. The office is based in London Bridge and is offering a hybrid work week. Proficiency in Xero is necessary for this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Process invoices in Dext, ensuring accuracy and timely submission (approximately 140 invoices per month)
  • Perform bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records (approximately 1,000 reconciliations per month)
  • Issue ad hoc invoices as requested by clients or internal departments (approximately 20 invoices per month)
  • Follow up and chase VAT invoices, ensuring compliance with tax regulations (approximately 50 invoices per month, with a backlog of a few hundred)
  • Manage expense reports, including reviewing and verifying expenses, ensuring compliance with company policies (approximately a dozen reports per month

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Finance Administrator or similar role
  • Proficiency in Xero accounting software is necessary
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry and analysis
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Good communication skills to liaise with internal stakeholders and external vendors
  • Knowledge of VAT regulations and experience in managing VAT invoices is preferred
