Our client is seeking an Operations Manager to join their Operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing business controls, implementing process improvements, and supporting project work to enhance operational efficiency and resilience.
Day to Day of the Role:
- Oversee business controls for functions covered by the Head of Operations, ensuring compliance and risk awareness.
- Perform regular Quality Assurance checks across the Operations area, producing relevant MI and KPIs.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational workflows.
- Provide cover for the Settlements team and support transaction and trade reporting under Mifid2 and EMIR.
- Promote a culture of continual improvement and be the key contact for New Product Analysis across Operations.
- Advise on the development and testing of changes within Operations, including new systems and data governance.
- Assist in embedding operational resilience in all processes and managing relationships with key third-party vendors.
- Ensure compliance with the Bank's policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in managing, setting, and testing controls within an Operations setting in the banking or financial services sector.
- Proactive mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Team player with excellent people, organisation, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and a good understanding of banking legislation, policies, processes, and procedures.
