Health and Safety Advisor

Our client is looking for a Health and Safety Consultant to join their team covering the South East, but will require to travel further when required.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of working as a reputable health and Safety consultancy and you will be able to confidently carry out health and safety risk assessments, compliance audits and providing health and safety training to staff when required. This role would suit someone who is looking to join a forward-thinking company who pride themselves on providing their employees with excellent career opportunities. Due to the nature of the role, the successful candidate must be happy to travel.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Must have one or more of the following: NEBOSH Diploma, GradIOSH working towards CMIOSH, NEBOSH Fire Safety / equivalent
  • Experience within Insurance industry is preferential.
  • Will ideally hold IOSH / IFE membership.
  • Will have a proven track record working within a Health and Safety role, working for an established consultancy.
  • Experience carrying out Fire Risk Assessment would be beneficial to the role.
  • Exceptional knowledge of current Health & Safety legislations, policies, and procedures.
  • Able to communicate efficiently.
  • Able to manage time efficiently, splitting time between attending site and writing reports.
  • IT literate.

The Role:

  • Completing Health and Safety Audits
  • Fire Risk Assessments
  • General Risk Assessments and developing policies and procedures
  • Attending site and carrying out inspections in line with client requirements.
  • Carrying out health an d safety and compliance audits.
  • Attending site and carrying out staff audits.
  • Providing high standard health and safety training to staff in line with company needs.
  • Producing detailed technical reports for clients.
  • Conducting fire risk assessments.
  • Efficiently preparing internal policies.
  • Carrying out accident investigations.
  • Conducting specialist surveys.
  • Efficiently liaising with clients, ensuring to maintain excellent professional relationships.
