Quick Staff UK is pleased to be recruiting on behalf of an established manufacturing business based in the Caerphilly area. On their behalf, we are seeking to recruit an R & D Microbiologist to work in their small but dynamic team. This role would suit a recent graduate.
You should have a qualification in microbiology with suitable experience of a wide range of microbiological techniques. Specific experience of disinfectant testing methods such as EN1276 and EN13697 would be a distinct advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning and carrying out work for R&D and other projects
- Carrying out in-house fermentations
- Assisting with Quality Control during periods of high demand or staff absence
Key Requirements:
- Educated to degree level
- Excellent organisation skills
- Patience and the ability to remain calm in pressurised situations.
- Proven experience in Microbiology, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with data entry software.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently.

- £28,000 - £32,000 per annum depending on experience.
