Your new role
As a qualified science teacher, you will be responsible for inspiring students in KS3 and KS4. Creating high-quality lesson plans that are in line with the curriculum. Whether a new qualified teacher or an experienced one, you will need to be confident in delivering high quality lessons to students, with varying abilities. Effective communication, teamwork and organisational skills are crucial. You will be responsible for marking work, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining a thorough understanding of curriculum materials.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to be a qualified Science teacher, with recent experience and the ability to provide references. To be successful in this role, previous experience working in a secondary school setting is crucial. You must feel confident in delivering lesson plans to KS3 and KS4 students. Additionally, you'll need the ability to manage groups of 20-30 students and effectively handle challenging behaviour. A team-oriented attitude and the ability to build positive relationships are also essential.
