Maintenance Engineer

We are currently supporting a leading manufacturer based in Lytham in their search for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer. The role will be responsible for performing Maintenance tasks on both Electrical and Mechanical machinery. This role offers a compressed working week!

Description

As Maintenance Engineer you will be tasked with the following;

  • To respond quickly and efficiently to machine breakdowns, communicating progress to the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Responsible for reordering used parts as required, maintaining stock levels.
  • To complete any preventative plant maintenance, maintain the full appropriate documentation, identifying and escalating any faults they are unable to rectify.
  • Ensure quality compliance, completing routine documentation in accordance with manufacturing requirements.
  • Comply with all site polices including HSHE
  • Support the development and training of Apprentices

Responsible for all electrical/ mechanical contractors in site including all documentation e.g. Systems of Work, Permit to work. Risk assessments etc.

Profile

A successful Maintenance Engineer should have:

  • Able to work under own initiative and on occasion under pressure whilst adhering to strict deadlines
  • Practical experience of: Electrical controls:- PLCs, Relay logic, Motors, Pumps, Inverters, Safety systems including E-stop circuits, Guarding and Light Curtains etc.
  • Electrostatic Powder coating plant
  • Hydraulic and Pneumatic controls
  • Mechanical fitting, service and repair
  • Mechanical installation, pipework etc.
  • Electrical Installation.
  • Plumbing
  • Power presses, mechanical and hydraulic
  • Fabrication and welding
  • Reading and understanding schematics and engineering drawings
  • Working at height up to 10 Metres
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • IOSH, COSHH
  • Operational Fault Finding
  • Work independently and part of a team.
  • Deliver results, deliver improved performance.
  • Manage self, working/assisting internal customers/ external contractors obtaining their involvement and buy in.
  • Coach and develop, providing structured and consistent feedback.
  • IT literate e.g. Windows, Microsoft Office, Google

Job Offer

  • A competitive salary ranging from £38,000 - £43,000
  • Days only - Compressed 4 day week
