Brief Summary:
Our client, a global company is looking for an experienced Verification Engineer with a strong background in FPGA design. The ideal candidate would be owning and carrying out various aspects of verification activities as requested by the technical leads.
You will be working within the defence industry for a 12-month minimum contract, there is strong potential for extension.
Responsibilities
- Generating complex FPGA architectures and design implementations i.e VHDL or Simulink
- Physical (lab-based) test authoring and reviewing
- Assessing elemental analysis and code coverage
- Scripting to aid test development, test result analysis or management of traceability data
- Owning and carrying out various aspects of verification activities as requested by the technical leads
- VHDL code reviews
Desired characteristics:
- Very strong VHDL knowledge, particularly for verification
- Strong background in FPGA design
- Knowledge of a range of scripting languages, e.g. Python, tcl, C
- Questa/Modelsim experience
- Knowledge of advanced signal process system i.e. analogue, imaging or an embedded system
- Lab skills, including debugging/problem solving
